We charge hourly for your child's care. Invoices are produced at the end of each month for the childcare for the next month. Payment needs to be made by the 8th of each month to avoid late payment charges.
We accept all childcare vouchers, the government tax voucher scheme and if you are under 21 years old and returning to any of the local colleges please ask about the Care 4 scheme that they run and we accept here at the Nursery.
As you are aware from September 2017, the Government increased funded early years childcare from 15 hours a week to 30 hours a week (for up to 38 weeks of the year) for eligible 3 and 4-year-old children.
These funded hours can be used at registered childcare settings that offer funded early education places, including day nurseries like ourselves. This offer of additional hours will only be available to families who meet certain criteria which includes all parents living in the household working and earning approximately £110.00 per week depending on your ages. For one parent families, the parent must be working. In two parent families both parents must be working. Information on how to find out if you are eligible is found on the H M Government website
If your application is successful you will be given an 11 digit eligibility code for your child. You must bring the code together with your national insurance number and child's date of birth to us at the nursery. I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to register on this website. Without this code you are not able to receive the additional 15 hours. This has to be done as soon as possible, and you will need to re apply every term!
With these government changes we have needed to look at how we can deliver our quality service to yourselves in the best way. This nursery only receives £4.00 per hour per child for funded only children. It is interesting to note that Somerset has seen 52 nursery settings close since January 2017 due to these government financial restrictions which are already tight and are a threat to most individual independent childcare settings.
In order to make up the difference, the local Government have suggested that for funded hours only children Early Years settings need to charge for consumables in order to stay financially sustainable. County Hall have suggested that each setting must charge for Snacks, Resources, wet wipes, etc.
Please remember this is funded hours only children. Where we receive £4 per hour and the cost of the childcare is £5.56ph a loss of £1.56p per hour per child. You can now see why Somerset has had so many private Early Years settings close.
We offer term time as well as 52 weeks of the year care, shift pattern and parents rotas are welcome. Children need to attend nursery for a minimum of twice a week.
If you are not able to get your child too and from nursery at any time we can come and collect them and deliver them back to your home, this is a free service if it is part of your booking, however as a one off service there is a charge.
